Colour, texture and pattern excites me and infiltrates into everything I do, whether it be the way I dress, the doodles I make, or into my mindful creative processes. Printing and creating patterns through various mediums such as drawing and painting are two things that I enjoy doing the most and this is illustrated through the work I do.
My international background of having lived in Asia, the UK, and having South African and Australian parents has played a huge role in my artistic identity and preferences. The majority of my work has been influenced from travelling and living in different countries with a variety of different cultures. I take great pride in my work being extremely diverse and including reference to the wide variety of people I have met and places I have visited. I am eager to learn new things as I feel that having variety in my work and a different range of skill sets can only be beneficial for me. I am currently studying Textile Design at Nottingham Trent University, with a focus on woven textiles. From a degree I want to refine and improve upon my existing creative ability to insure that I have the correct skills for a successful career in the Fashion and Textiles industry. |
